December 2019 Newsletter
As we say our goodbyes to Lion Jeri, we must always remember how we can honor her memory by attempting to duplicate her dedication to SERVE.
How can we do this? By becoming involved beyond our club’s activities in the district, the state, and international duties.
Jeri served on MANY committees. When you consider your talents, think of some of the activities in our district that Jeri served: Convention Promotions, Nominations & Elections, Protocol, Public Relations, and as one of our most dedicated Leader Dog Trustees.
Her service of 28 years shows her devotion to Lions. That service was shown through her words…her actions…all of which gave us a shining example of what we should ALL strive to accomplish in our service as Lions.
As we say goodbye to Thanksgiving, we welcome all the excitement of Christmas…the lights, the presents, decorating our homes and our clubs!
What are your club’s traditions to celebrate in your community? Does Santa hand out toys, do your members collect food for the needy, or do you ring the bells to help the Salvation Army with the red kettle funds?
No matter what activities your club does, it is wonderful to know that our district is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others, through service. Invite a neighbor or relative to come with you, for them to see, first-hand, how THEY too can make a difference.
As 1VDG Brian mentions, let’s make this the year to honor Jeri with new Lions in the upcoming New Year!
Are you ready for the first District-G Health Fair? It’s coming up on Saturday, February 1, so mark your calendars to be INVOLVED!
Being hosted at the Battell Center in Mishawaka, we need YOU to be part of this exciting new event.
St. Joe Regional Medical Center is partnering with District 25-G to make this HAPPEN! We need YOUR club to provide a liaison to work on the planning team.
Join us on Monday, December 9 at 6pm at Hacienda in the old Scottsdale area. We want to hear your ideas and kick this off well!
Send me an email to join the Health Fair Team! firstname.lastname@example.org
