As we start the New Year with our own expectations, let’s include our LIONS Club’s expectations of increasing membership.
Have you set a goal for your club? Is it realistic? Many clubs have said, “We’ve tried everything…” New people have not heard your previous methods…so tweak a little and try again! One new member per club would be fantastic! Have THEM bring a friend, too.
And while you’re thinking of bringing someone, why not bring them to the Mid-Winter Conference? Enjoy the fellowship with Lions across the District, and get new ideas for your club to succeed!
During the MWC, we’ll have some great guest speakers, Coach Mike Krischner, new conference sessions, and continue our state-wide service project of collecting mittens, hats and scarves! We’re not Goldie Hawn, but SOCK IT TO ME!
If you can join us on Friday evening, you join hundreds of Lions who will be packing thousands of meals for the needy. Million Meals Movement is a great way to get involved as a Lion!
And more fun is on the way the following weekend for our 3rd District meeting at Milford! Come join us on Jan. 18 for breakfast at 9am and share your ideas on how to build visibility of what LIONS DO!
We will be talking about leadership, the upcoming Health fair, and the great ideas you heard at the Mid-Winter Conference.
What ideas from the MWC can you share? Who were the best speakers? How can their ideas be used in each of our clubs?
We’re still collecting First Aid items for the schools along with canned goods to supply local Food Pantries. Your donation will give you an entry to win a gift card – a dinner for two! Make sure to sign up to win! Don’t miss out…bring your ideas, your donations, and a new Lion to attend this meeting!
And this just in…those with perfect attendance to all 3 District meetings will be entered into a drawing for the District Convention registration fee in March!
As you know, PDG Jeri Seely is continuing her service elsewhere, and I’d like to ask all of you to keep PDG Bud Seely in your thoughts and prayers. They have helped shape what District 25-G is today, and we thank them both for their devoted service.
With so many events coming up in the New Year, I look forward to seeing you at the MWC, District Mtg. and Health Fair.
