Governor’s Corner

Lion Sheri and I have been very busy this month of October with banner nights, club visits, and handing out awards. But after all that, I can honestly say I would not trade it for anything. It is so heartwarming to meet so many Lions that give their time to so many in need. The world we all live in today is so messed up, but when I see you Lions I know that Love and Hope is still alive and doing very, very well.

Pediatric cancer is the message I carry to all clubs I visit and I can tell all of you the clubs are all getting aboard to help destroy this killer. All I ask of the clubs is to pick out one of their fundraisers and give 10% to pediatric cancer and send it to LCIF. The money goes into a pool where through the grant system it can be taken out to help fight Pediatric Cancer.

Membership is growing. We are not the best kept secret, so shout it out. Go get members. ASK. Make your club strong and healthy. You can be the driving force to make it happen. It’s up to you.

If your club is not sending in your reports, please do so now. As your governor and LCI we can cannot read your clubs’ minds. The last time I looked, Lion Sheri did not have a crystal ball, so PLEASE SEND IN YOUR REPORTS. If you need additional training, please let me know and we can get it for you.

Last but not least, please call me so I can set up a time and date for my visit to your club. Lion Sheri and I will be traveling to North Carolina to visit the kids and their families over Thanksgiving. (Editor’s note: contact information omitted from online post, please reference district directory for phone or email). Sheri and I want to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and not to stuff yourself too much.
