December 2018 Newsletter

Governor’s Corner

By the time you read this, you and your family have celebrated another Thanksgiving holiday. Hopefully your tummy is not so full that you will not slow down being a Lion. We have a lot more year ahead of us to reach out to your community and keep the Lion’s name strong.

Just a quick word concerning membership. Remember that there are many men and women that you know that are not Lions, so please invite them to your meeting and let’s recruit that potential Lion member.

Please remember that Lions are currently raising funds for their Campaign 100 cause. If you have any questions or would like to have a speaker concerning this topic, please contact PDG Marty Juel at [redacted for digital publication] or [redacted for digital publication] or you can email Marty at marty@martyjuel.com, he would be more than glad to come speak to your club about Campaign 100.

PDG Jeri Seely would like to receive any articles and pictures concerning all the great things your clubs are doing so she can publish them in the Hoosier Lion. You can send them to PDG Jeri at jeriseely@gmail.com.

Currently my calendar has a lot of space on it for club visits so please contact me at [redacted for digital publication], daytime number is [redacted for digital publication] or my cell number is [redacted for digital publication]. When I come to your club it gives me an opportunity to meet all the wonderful Lions that do so much for your community.

Please keep in mind that this year my slogan is simply “GET ON BOARD” which means that I am asking your club to help me fight and conquer pediatric cancer. All donations should be sent to my Cabinet Treasurer PDG Robert Myers. He will forward your donation to LCIF in your club’s name.

Keep in mind that the Mid-Winter conference is coming up on January 11th and 12th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Airport in Indianapolis. This may be the last year for this conference if we do not have a good turn out so please come and support this great Lion’s endeavor.

Lion Sheri and I would like to wish all you Lion Heroes and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year.
